Well March has arrived, not looking too much like a lion this year, but today’s a fine snowy day and the LFTN crew have been busy putting together a strategy to wrap up production on LFTN #3: Work. It’s going to be a great show, jam packed with great segments from Ginny Mahar, Therese Harvey, Katie Bausler, Mark Gnadt, Jonas Lamb w/ Buddy Tabor and Evelyn Richards who has collected some priceless perspectives on work from a child’s perspective. Stay tuned for air dates which will be posted here shortly.

Friday Feb. 1st, Letters from the North contributors Ginny Mahar, Therese Harvey and Jonas Lamb wii be featured at the Downtown library in Juneau as part of the First Friday Literary Series. More info will be available soon at the Library’s site. This event kicks off at 7 and we will have a short writing exercise/activity following the reading. CDs from previous Letters From the North shows will be available for a donation. Hope to see you there, this will be a great opportunity to speak with us about getting involved in the program.

You can now find the first two shows in the LFTN Archives. As space allows, we will continue to make audio streams of past shows available. Simply click the embedded media player to begin loading the file (please be patient these are 40-50mb mp3s). If you are interested in CDs or transcripts of past shows contact us or pick up a copy at the First Friday Literary Series at the Juneau Public Library on February 1st, 2008.

We are currently accepting submissions for the third show.

The chosen theme is WORK.
Please take this theme and run with it, stretch it, challenge it, push the limits, what is work? why do we do it? How does it shape our identities?
If you are interested please read the submission guidelines. Otherwise, feel free to pass this on to others who might be interested.
